For Givaudan's innovation center in Zurich, we developed a biophilic lighting design that combines creativity, inspiration and well-being. Rooms, plants and light were specifically coordinated to provide employees with a natural, activating environment and to sustainably support innovation.

In Givaudan's innovation center, the luminaire design blends seamlessly into the biophilic interior design. The shape of the luminaires refers to the surrounding plant life and actively supports the growth of the plants with a specially tuned light spectrum. The result is a harmonious interplay of function and aesthetics - for an environment that has a lively effect and strengthens the dialog between man and nature.

Research for sustainable lighting solutions
For us, the effect of light on plants is more than just a design element - it is the subject of research and a deep understanding of nature.
In two of our own studies, we have investigated the plant-specific requirements of artificial light and gained insights for our lighting design. The results have been published in scientific papers and are incorporated directly into our projects.
