Gymnasium Dorfmatt with Day School, Bätterkinden

In early 2019, the municipality of Bätterkinden organized a selective architecture competition. Forcasting the need for school space, the municipality had drawn up a development concept for all school buildings in the municipality Bätterkinden. Core of the development concept is the creation of a new double gymnasium with integrated spaces for the day school. The centrally located school complex Dorfmatt consists of a kindergarten, a primary school and a secondary school. The existing gymnasium is also part of the school complex but in a poor structural condition. It will be replaced by the new gymnasium.

The competition project «FALTWERK» from the architectural office MAK architecture AG was chosen as the winner of the competition.
