Julia has been fascinated by the intersection of science, creativity, and design from an early age. During her interior design studies, she discovered her true passion: lighting design.

As Creative Director at lightsphere, she now combines aesthetic sensitivity with strategic vision, shaping both the studio’s creative direction and its long-term decisions.

Julia draws daily inspiration from the beauty of nature and its dazzling variety. For her, light is more than just a design tool — it's a medium for creating atmosphere and evoking emotion. She brings this perspective to national and international committees, where she contributes her expertise with great dedication.

As co-founder of the IALD Alpine Chapter and Switzerland’s first Certified Lighting Designer (CLD), Julia is a driving force in the industry. In 2019, she was recognized with the international 40 under 40 award for her outstanding achievements in lighting design.
